Mobile Caravan & Motorhome Service Engineer
Holder of the National Caravan Council (NCC) Caravan & Motorhome Service Engineering Award and an Approved Mobile Workshop technician under the NCC Approved Workshop Scheme

Terms & Conditions of Business

Unfortunately, in order to give clarity and prevent embarrassment by either the customer our ourselves, it has become necessary to state & operate the following:-

  1. We are fully insured mobile engineers for touring caravans and motorhomes only. Insurance details are available on request. We are also fully covered for LPG gas works, together with Low voltage (240v) and Extra Low voltage (12v) electrical works on Leisure vehicles used for pleasure but not on vehicles used for hire or reward. We do not work on static caravans.
  2. Being mobile, we come to wherever your vehicle is. We do not have premises for you to come to us. We therefore have an industry standard scale of fault call-out charges and service charges available on request.
  3. We can work on your vehicle at your home address, storage area (with owners permission arranged by the vehicle owner), caravan site (with owners permission arranged by the vehicle owner) or other mutually agreed place. Our insurance precludes us, however, from doing work on vehicles parked on a public road.
  4. Our insurance also precludes us from giving diagnosis of faults on vehicles and their equipment (such as fridges etc) by telephone.
  5. At time of booking we will agree a date. A time will be advised the day before the booking date or earlier if possible. We require your name, address & telephone number (preferably a mobile number), model, make and year of vehicle to confirm a booking. Where possible, bookings will be confirmed by email or text.
  6. Cancellations made within less than 5 days of a booked job date may incur a cancellation fee.
  7. It is a condition of every booking that a responsible person is available / in attendance whilst work is being carried out on the booked vehicle. It is expected that this person will be able to (a) make or broker decisions about the work taking place on the booked vehicle; (b) receive the report once work is complete; and (c) receive the invoice and arrange payment.
  8. We accept payment by Bank Transfer, Debit / Credit Card or Cash but not cheques or goods in kind etc. Our engineer will not follow a customer or take a customer to a bank or ATM to get cash.
  9. Payment must be made on completion of the work and before our engineer leaves the booking address. If, upon completion of the work, our engineer has to wait around for payment to be made, pro-rata time may be charged at our hourly rate.
  10. If the booking is to deal with an issue that the owner of the vehicle believes may be covered by a warranty – for us to broker that warranty claim, proof of the warranty company’s indication of approval must be sent to us in writing in advance of visiting the vehicle. We point out that companies covering warranties do not generally pay the call-out fee which we may require to visit and diagnose issues. Please check with the warranty company. We will not charge a call-out fee if diagnosis is done as part of a habitation service.
  11. Any of the above can be waived, changed or updated at our discretion.
